I was Head of PE at WHSG when Roy came to join us and coach the girls in the quest to do well in the National Schools Athletics Championships and Southend Borough sports. Roy was a dedicated coach and the girls really appreciated his input and coaching techniques, (its always better coming from someone other than your own teacher!!). He helped us get to the regional finals on more than one occasion and we are eternally grateful. 

Roy was a lovely man, kind and encouraging and you always knew when you didn't work hard enough at one of his sessions. He will be sorely missed and the school, I am sure send their condolences to his family. He will always be a good memory for me personally.
